Donna Brinton

Donna, a Peer Helping Advocate and Trainer, was Secretary of the NAPP Board. She was a board member of the California Association 0f Peer Programs, serving as a CAPP Trainer, Board Secretary, and member of the Executive Committee. She also served on the Youth Empowering Systems (a prevention organization) Board and was a trainer for the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center. In the California Bay Area, Donna started Aragon High School's Peer Helping Program in 1991 and coordinated the peer programs in the district. She retired as the teacher/coordinator of this program in June 2002. The Aragon Peer Helping graduates continue to make a difference as one-on-one listeners, conflict mediators, peer educators, and group facilitators. She presently offers training in Peer Helping to teachers and/or students, as well as training in Non Verbal Classroom Management to teachers.
