Barbara received her PhD from Stanford and is a former teacher, counselor and psychologist in the Palo Alto (CA) school district
where she started the first Peer Counseling program in 1970.
She has authored four Curriculum Guides, two for Peer Ministry training, two for training Peer Helpers and the book REAL FRIENDS. She
has conducted hundreds of Peer Helping training for youth and professional adults throughout the country, including NAPP
pre-conference (Training Institute) workshops and taught at colleges and universities.
Currently, Barbara is a private consultant, helping schools, churches and agencies to start and implement Peer Helping/Ministry
programs.
