Cheryl was the Youth Program Director for CONTACT-Syracuse, a non-profit agency prior
to her retirement in 2004. During her employment at CONTACT, Cheryl directed TeenLine,
a peer helper hotline, and Teen Talk, a call-in radio show. Both programs utilize teens
responding to the concerns and issues of peers. Cheryl also was responsible for
training peer helpers in area schools.
Cheryl served a six-year term on the NAPP Board of Directors expiring in 2003. In
June 2004, she was selected by the Board to fill a Board vacancy and was elected
Vice-President. She has also served as chair of the Board Development Committee and
Member-at-Large for the NAPP Executive Committee. In 2006, she was elected to a three
year term. She is an active member of the Conference Committee, in charge of the program.
She currently is the chair of the Board Development Committee in addition to being Vice-
President.
